Yahoo Fund Hackers?

Yahoo plans to invest in a number of hackers who have brilliant ideas and technology.

This was said by Jeff Kinder, Senior Vice President for Media Products and Solutions, told MacWorld site, on the sidelines of the implementation of the Yahoo Open Hack Day in Bangalore, India.

During this time, hackers and the event “Yahoo Open Hack Day” is always a crucial momentum for Yahoo. But Yahoo does not have a standard funding model for hackers who follow the Yahoo Open Hack Day event.

Yahoo Meme, one of Yahoo’s Micro-blogging service that transformed, from initially only an internal idea Yahoo, become a platform product on yahoo, after Open Hack Day event in Brazil, in late 2008.

For the event in Bangalore, the Open Hack Day is followed by about 1,800 applicants, of which 500 of them were selected. In the show, there are 123 projects hack, making that event as the largest Open Hack Day event which has been diselengarkan by Yahoo, said Kinder.
